Letter from the Chair (an excerpt)
The past year was a year of growth for STEM for Her, both internally and within the community, as we reached and exceeded many milestones. Our growth has been driven not only by the outreach efforts we have undertaken as a foundation, but also by the economy and the global focus on recognizing the importance of engaging and encouraging women to pursue STEM-related careers.
In the next five years, STEM for Her seeks to reach more girls in the D.C. Metropolitan region. Our goal is to expand further into underserved areas, while building relationships with local schools and companies to provide a range of programs and opportunities that encourage girls to fulfill their STEM dreams. To do this, we must continue to grow our donor base – with your help, we can close the gap for women pursuing careers in STEM fields.
